Gresley V2 NO.4771 Green Arrow tops the list of exhibits destined for the proposed NRM Leicester North out-station. V2s regularly worked along the Great Central pre-closure, and No. 60800, as it was in BR days, was stored in Leicester's former Wigston roundhouse for several years in the late-1960s. Also scheduled for the new museum is the sole-surviving GCR passenger loco -'Director' class 4-4-0 No. 506 Butler Henderson (which will be paired with a GC wooden 'Barnum' carriage) and the APT-E, Britain's first tilting train.
