Legacies must be spent wisely

The magazine's rising sales and the huge influx of new members reported by the RCTS in this issue may belie it, but most railfans are the wrong side of 50 and one-way journeys to the great engine shed in the sky are becoming all too common... which brings me to the subject of legacies. Many successful men who have either become widowers or who have never married, and thus have no descendants, are finding themselves with (as one admitted to me recently) "more money than I know what to do with".
