But that number could yet increase: the hoped-for addition of 'Royal Scot' 4-6-0 No. 46115 Scots Guardsman and 8F 2-8-0 No. 48151 would bring the tally of ex-LMS or LMS-design motive power to 13. September's three-day gathering therefore promises to be a record-breaker, topping the number of ex-LMS engines brought together for the 1975 Shildon cavalcade.
