Mixed traction WSR visitors struck by series of failures

The West Somerset Railway held a successful diesel gala on June 5-7 (with one steam loco in use over the weekend), despite engine failures. While the home fleet of Classes 14,33,35,47 and DMU all performed well, the same could not be said for the classic traction visitors. Firstly, the hoped-for Class 37, No. D6757, was unable to attend, having failed previously at Swanage (RM June,p90).
