Author and photographer dies at 69

Accomplished author and photographer Alan Castle has died aged 69. He was one of the original members of the Master Neverers Association, the band of hardened enthusiasts who devoted time to cleaning engines and photographing their rewards. His end-of-steam experiences and photography were to form a core component of the publication Steam -The Grand Finale, published to coincide with the 40th anniversary in 2008.
