ALMOST 500 fare dodgers have been prosecuted by Greater Anglia in the last month as part of a crackdown in Essex and London. On July 17 alone, 267 fare dodgers were prosecuted incurring fines of £54,964 and costs of £26,618.Afurther217 people were prosecuted at Southend Magistrates Court on August 2, fined £17,762, and ordered to pay costs of £11,900.
