It is contemplated that electric trains from the "Bakerloo" section of the London Electric Railway will shortly commence running through to Watford, over the London and North Western Railway, and trial runs have already been made with "Bakerloo"trains on this route. New stock is, however, being introduced, adapted for the higher speeds necessitated north of Willesden Junction. On the Metropolitan Railway women are being trained as guards and "gatemen"on electric trains, this being, it is understood, the first instance where they have taken over the actual "train responsibility"or have taken part in the direct working of trains. At present they are working mainly on the Extension line.
