Southwold 71/4-gauge line under construction

THE 71/4 in gauge Blyth Valley Light Railway is being constructed at the Southwold Railway Trust's SteamWorks in Suffolk. Planning consent has been granted for a visitor centre, a 3ft-gauge railway, and nature reserve on the old gas works site in Blyth Road, Southwold. In addition to the 3ft-gauge track and stock, miniature railway equipment has been donated to the trust to form a major attraction and fund-raiser.
