THE first locomotive for the new railway at South London's Crossness pumping station - a steam outline 4wDH, originally built by Severn-Lamb - was delivered on November 7. Two carriages followed on November 12. The 2ft-gauge equipment originally ran on a line built for the May-October 1986 Stoke-on-Trent National Garden Festival, which was opened by HM Queen.
