CALEDONIAN Sleeper has completed the rollout of its £150million fleet of Mk5 carriages after the 'Highlander' service was switched to the new stock for the service on October 10-11. The train from London Euston, with portions for Inverness and Aberdeen, was hauled by Class 92 locos between London and Edinburgh and Class 73 locomotives from Edinburgh to the final Scottish destinations. The transformation comes more than a year late, and following many teething problems with the Mk5s on the Lowlander service.
