Today, policing faces many challenges that put stress on the men and women on the front lines. The field is encountering a dwindling pool of candidates who desire to put on the uniform and walk the line. Those already in the profession are dealing with more and more reactive work and less time for proactive initiatives and duties. In addition, communities around the globe are in the midst of a global pandemic that, for a time, stunted virtually all nonessential interactions and continues to affect people and operations in many areas.
