Offshore wind farms: breaking through the bureaucratic barriers

From initial site selection through to planning, installation, and operation, todays offshore wind industry covers a wide range of disciplines, expertise, and industrial sectors. At present, only five countries within Europe have operating offshore wind farms, namely, Denmark, Sweden, the UK, The Netherlands, and Ireland. However, other countries, such as Germany and France, are in the process of developing new offshore capacity.
