Allweiler AG has added a new opto-electronic module for clean and secure operation to its range of screw pumps.rnThe opto-electronic system immediately detects any liquid that may escape around the mechanical seal and will trigger electronic signals that may be integrated into a centralised control system, and forwarded to a monitoring station, or produce a visual or acoustic alarm. Depending on the specific installation, the leaking pump may be switched off automatically and operation simultaneously switched over to a reserve unit.
