Hoeegh gas FPSO on the rise

With the pre-FEED (front end engineering design) study finished in March 2008 for a new FPSO, Hoeegh LNG moved onto the full FEED phase, which was due to be completed at the end of March 2009. Hoeegh LNG has spent the last 12 months and US$50 million on FEED engineering to develop its own design. rnCB&I was awarded the FEED contract for the topside of the vessel, while Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) was awarded the contract covering the hull and containment systems.
