Three decades of naval construction

Drawing upon first-hand accounts, materialfrom the annual Royal Corps o f NavalConstructors (RCNC) Journal as well asunclassified technical papers and officialreports, 'Vanguard to Dreadnought: 30yearsof Naval Construction 1983-2013' charts thedesign, procurement and support of warshipsand their systems over the last two decadesof the 20th century and the first decade or soof the 21st. It places these developments inthe context of how the Ministry of Defence(MoD) organisation and warship acquisitionand support have changed and the effect ofthese changes on the RCNC itself.
