The contemporary reality at shipyards is far from the ideal situation with a myriad of specialised systems, interfaces, and data storage methods used in different departments. A step that would provide unification is the expansion of the use of the 3D model, thereby ensuring support for specific needs of each discipline and shipbuilding process stage.
