Combined crane and self-discharge package for Klaveness bulk carrier

A most interesting combination of jib cranes and self-unloading equipment is being supplied by the Japanese company Tsuji Heavy Industries to Oshima Shipbuilding, near Sasebo, for a new 49,700dwt bulk carrier ordered by the Norwegian owner Torvald Klaveness. As reported on several occasions in The Naval Architect, Oshima has turned bulk carrier construction into a highly specialised art, with the generation of several very special designs, and this new project is no exception.
