Anders Stensen, a naval architect and senior ship surveyor at the SMA, the Swedish Maritime Administration, and Martin Stensen, from the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, undertook this research as a private initiative. The article is not the view of the SMA and the purpose is only to present the historical facts that led up to the bow construction of Estonia.
