In March this year, the 700-passenger Seven Seas Voyager, built in Italy's T Mariotti shipyard, joined Radisson Seven Sea Cruises' fleet. This vessel, claimed to be only the world's second all-balcony-suite design, is a sister, but not an identical twin, of Chantiers de I'Atlantique-built Seven Seas Mariner; she is slightly smaller (at around 41,500gt) and has a more efficient use of space in cabin areas. Seven Seas Voyager is sailing inaugural cruises in Western Europe and the Baltic at present. The new arrival is also notable as the first ship to be fitted with the STN/Lips (now Waertsilae) Dolphin azimuthing pod propulsion design.
