New orders and deliveries for Norwegian builder

A large ulstein P101 multifunctional platform supply vessel, designed by Ulstein Design AS, will be built by Ulstein Verft AS for Island Offshore XI KS. The contract is worth around Nkr290 million. Ulstein Verft's order reserve is currently Nkr1.6 billion. This will be the first vessel to be built to this design, making it the 12th in a series of Ulstein designs. The vessel is a large multifunctional platform supply vessel which can also be used for subsea purposes, and Island Offshore believes there will be a demand for these ships in the future. The ULSTEIN P101 has the same hull shape as Normand Mermaid, an ULSTEIN P103, which is proving very successful in the North Sea at the moment.
