Lt. Gen.Todd Semonite, USA, U.S. Army Chief of Engineers and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, talks with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot at the McCormick Place Convention Center, which was being converted into an alternate care facility in response to COVID-19. Airmen from the 103rd Civil Engineer Squadron, Connecticut Air National Guard, set up two Alaskan Small Shelter Systems at the Newington VA Clinic in Newington, Conn., for potential patient use in support of COVID-19 response efforts. Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 1 set up a Base-X tent in front of Naval Hospital Rota, Spain.The pre-staging area will assist medical personnel in screening and testing patients for COVID-19.
