FEDERAL AGENCY SUSTAINABILITY PERFORMANCE PLANS

Continuing its commitment to lead by example and cut waste, pollution and costs in federal operations, the Obama Administration released Federal Agency 2012 Strategic Sustainability Performance Plans. Federal agencies develop and submit sustainabil- ity plans annually under Executive Order 13514: Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance, which was signed Oct. 5, 2009. This years plans highlight agency milestones; outline new strategies for improving performance; and offer specific projects that save dollars, creating clean energy jobs, reducing pollution, cutting waste, or saving energy.
