Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office announced he has signed legislation aimed at creating tens of thousands of jobs through $1 billion of targeted and accelerated investment in key infrastructure projects around the state. Prior to bringing the bill before the legislature, Gov. Cuomo, Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos (R-Rockville Centre) and Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver (D-Manhattan) announced they had reached a proposed three-way agreement on legislative and executive proposals to create jobs and cut taxes for middle class residents. The high level of bipartisan support mustered for the bill virtually ensured its passage.
