Serving the Nation's Public Health

As I set forth in my appointment as the 14th Chief Engineer of the U.S. Public Health Service, we certainly find ourselves amidst change. The Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) recently welcomed Secretary Alex Azar; Assistant Secretary for Health, Adm. Brett Giroir, USPHS; and Surgeon General, Vice Adm. Jerome Adams, USPHS. Their shared vision is that the Public Health Service serves the health needs of our nation, including nimble and capable service during response operations, attentive service to underserved populations, and innovation to enhance our capacity and impact.
