QI am working a part-time roster pattern, flying for an airline but through a third party. In the event of a redundancy situation, would the calculation take into account that I had been working full-time for the past three years? Unless there is an industrial agreement in place that states otherwise, part-time workers are not entitled to have account taken of the fact that in earlier years they worked full-time when their redundancy pay is calculated. This is also common in loss of licence cases where a calculation involving a multiplier of salary is based on the salary entitlement on the date of termination of employment.
