Communicating with the non-lighting community The ILP is developing its advocacy role with non lighting stakeholder groups. Our communication with the world outside of the lighting community incorpates European, national and local governments, NGOs such as the Carbon Trust, architects, planners, interior designers, quantity surveyors, project managers, crime prevention professionals and clients right through to the general public. Working with many partners to ensure efficient and effective strategies, the Institution is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of lighting design.
