Late Triassic Cimmerian structures beneath the Moesian Platform (Romania/Bulgaria)

The Moesian Platform, one of the most prolific petroleum provinces of Eastern Europe, is generally considered a mature basin from an exploration point of view. A large number of papers in the last few decades have discussed different aspects of the structure and evolution of this region. However, as we attempt to document in the present paper, a closer look and application of up-to-date structural modeling approaches reveals that the structural history of the Moesian Platform is much more complex than previously thought.
