摘要

The application of seismic attributes to 3-D monitoring surveys is the logical extension of their use in reservoir characterization. This study examines attributes used to map reservoir characteristics to determine if they can efficiently and accurately map fluid displacement during production. One technique used in monitoring surveys to highlight fluid changes is to subtract one survey from the other to get what is called a difference survey. However, to do this, the new survey must register with the old survey in three dimensions: in x-y coordinates and also in transit time (Figure 1).
