Welcome to Dallas for the International Exposition and 67th Annual Meeting of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. I'm sure you are having the same problem that I am now experiencing and that is, how to schedule your time with the large number of events to attend. Besides the great opportunity that this meeting provides to socialize with colleagues, I'm anxious to hear from our speakers and exhibitors. In fact, I titled my presidential address "An arsenal of silver bullets," in anticipation of the future technology that I will learn from them this week. The entire atmosphere of the meeting indicates that geophysics is alive, healthy as ever, and growing rapidly.
