摘要

Climate change is impacting ecosystems in unpredictable ways around the world. Coastal zones face sea level rise and storm surges; forests in some areas are drying out while flooding from melting glaciers ravages valleys; the acidifying oceans are threatening coral reefs. But out of this disruption, new communities are forming; some species will evolve and thrive in climate-altered environments, and others will simply move to new locations. The one constant in this dynamic world is uncertainty. The question for lawyers and policymakers is: What should we do about it?
