Renewables Can't Come Soon Enough

On August 1, tne magazine New Scientist announced that four of the five indices of global average temperature had passed a threshold of an added one degree Celsius above pre-industrial levels. Scientists believe that allows just one additional degree until severe adverse effects from global warming kick in. International efforts to stymie climate change generally use two degrees as their benchmark for maximum allowable temperature increase, and that threshold could be achieved by mid century in the lack of concerted international, national, and local efforts to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.
