Several systems are used for differentiated tariffs based on the amount of waste. Tariffs can be based on: 1. taxation per bin bag 2. volume of container 3. volume and frequency 4. weight 5. weight and frequency One in four municipalities in the Netherlands has chosen one of these systems.
