Comb brings first ocean bottom cable seismic survey to Ireland

This summer, the Irish offshore industry will see its first ocean bottom cable seismic survey. This 3D survey will be carried out at the Corrib gas field, 83km off the coast of County Mayo. The purpose of the survey is to obtain more detailed information about the reservoir through application of the lates seismic techniques which supplement the conventional towed streamer 3D data acquired in 1997.
