UL graduate receives aeronautical engineering honour

Dr Pio Fitzgerald, graduate in Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Limerick, has been named Boeing Commercial Airplanes Engineer of the Year. Boeing Commercial Airplanes employs over 70,000 people worldwide, with revenues in 2010 of more than $31bn, and more than 12,000 jetliners in service. Boeing employs many of the leading aerospace engineers from around the world.
