Agency moves to tighten AD regulation

The Environment Agency wants to improve enforcement of the anaerobic digestion (AD) sector by regulating all feedstocks under the environmental permitting regulations. The revelation was made in a footnote to a guidance note, which clarified that farms could use misshapen, bruised and undersized fruit and vegetable by-products to fuel on-site AD without an environmental permit.
