DEFRA set to consult again on new biodiversity metric

DEFRA has said it will consult on potential revisions to the new biodiversity 3.0 metric once theEnvironment Bill has been passed, and before the legal requirement for 10% biodiversity netgain (BNG) has come into force.The confirmation follows a letter issued by the government’s chief planner last week which said that natureregulator Natural England “may undertake further tweaks and revisions” to the recently published metric “ifrequired”.
