Surrey uni wins EU funding for air pollution research

The University of Surrey has secured €762,000 from the EU's Horizon 2020 programme for collaborative research into air pollution and the environmental impacts of aviation. Most of the money - €627,000 - was granted to the university as a participant in the Improving the Smart Control of Air Pollution in Europe' (iScape) project, which aims to develop next-generation environmental living labs in cities across Europe. The Future Cities Catapult is also involved.
