Government to enact ECO reforms targeting fuel poverty

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is being simplified and extended in a bid to target fuel-poor households. The reforms announced on 30 January by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), which are still subject to parliamentary approval, are largely the same as those in a consultation last June, but with some changes (endsrep0rt.c0m/53087).
