The place, a swanky hotel in Majorca. The time, one evening last July. Two former cold warriors meet. One is a "retired" Soviet KGB colonel turned international businessman. The other is a Pole, once sentenced to life in prison in America for stealing blueprints of Patriot missiles and later exchanged in an East Berlin swap. A hidden microphone listens to them discussing a mole in the current Polish government, codenamed "Olin" and reporting to the Russian government.
