A beetroot farmer in New South Wales, Australia, has unveiled plans to set up a vegetable processing plant after being approached by major domestic retailer Wool worths. Ed Fagan purchased vegetable processing lines from the defunct Windsor Farm Foods cannery in Cowra, New South Wales, after the liquidation of the site left him with A$200,000 (US$180,000) worth of unsold beetroot. "The first thing is that we have had Woolworths knocking on our door telling us to [open our own processing plant]," explained Fagan to ABC Local News.
