A redesigned spray head system for Stolle's PostOp post-repair machine for easy-open steel food can ends is said to cut coating consumption, maintenance, and diameter changeover times. Called the Oscillating Spray Head, the new design incorporates two spray guns per lane, each of which apply coating to approximately half of the score line, with a small adjustable overlap. This replaces the previous design, which used one spray gun to coat the full circumference of the score.
