Multi-purpose filler for cans and glass bottles

Krones subsidiary Kosme has introduced the Barifill Canto multi-purpose filler for cans and glass bottles. Capable of filling at up to 16,000 containers per hour, it is targeted at smaller producers that don't want to invest in two separate machines. The system features an innovative filling valve, says Kosme, which combines the best features of existing Modulfill series filling systems. The valve is equipped with a level probe for filling glass bottles and a volumetric system with an inductive flow meter for cans. The combination of the two systems in a single filling valve is designed to save time when switching between container types. The valve can be automatically adjusted to a new fill level or volume when switching between cans and bottles or different container sizes. An optional rinser, which also accommodates both cans and bottles and various container sizes without any manual adjustments, can be integrated directly upstream of the infeed into the machine.
