Automatic doors are growing in popularity, says Paul Watson, chairman of the Automatic Door Suppliers Association (ADSA) and managing director of Dorma in the UK. This is partly as a result of the Disability Discrimination Act, and also the increasing sophistication and reliability of control technology.rnIn particular, automatic doors, which were previously used mainly on the entrances to buildings, are becoming more prevalent inside. Maintenance is not really an issue, says Watson, as the biannual inspections required for most internal doors would be adequate.
