When I wrote about DSDHA's Paradise Park community building for the AJ in 2006, I praised it as an ambitious public project. Today it seems that ambition was over-reaching. I noted then that patches of the green wall had died, due to a lack of maintenance. Now, the council has said the total death of the wall 'could be down to its design'. It's sad to see an ambitious building ruined, and we need to ensure it does not ruin appetites for aspirational designs by younger architects.
