Beijing Bird's Nest wins Lubetkin Prize

Herzog & de Meuron's Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing has won the RIBA's prestigious Lubetkin Prize, awarded by the institute to the best building outside Europe.rnThe prize, which is supported by the Architectural Review, was awarded to the centrepiece of the 2008 Olympic Games as the 'most outstanding work of architecture' constructed outside the European Union and designed by a member of the RIBA.
