Some of the world's leading 'starchitects' have joined in the attack on Prince Charles for his controversial intervention on the Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners-designed Chelsea Barracks scheme.rnIn a letter to the Sunday Times, the architects, who include Pritzker Prize-winners Zaha Hadid, Norman Foster and Frank Gehry, criticise the prince for trying to interfere with the democratic process by using his royal connections to stop modernist plans for the West London site.rnThe letter states: 'It is essential in a modern democracy thatrnprivate comments and behind-the-scenes lobbying by the prince should not be used to skew the course of an open and democratic planning process that is under way.'
