The RIBA has unveiled the three projects vying for this year's Lubetkin Prize. The award is given to an 'outstanding work of architecture' by a UK architect working outside the EU or a non-UK-based RIBA member working anywhere in the world. The trio, pictured on this page, were chosen from the RIBA's 12 International Award winners, which also included Foster + Partner's Winspear Opera House and Hopkins Architects' Kroon Hall at Yale University (see page 82), both in the US.
