The defining means of trade andrnexchange in this century is aviation, and our livelihood and economy depend on it. Every regularly scheduled long-haul service that goes through a hub supports around 3,000 direct and indirect jobs. London has become a constrained worldwide hub, with consequences to its economy and other aspects of sustainability.rnRail connectivity between London's five existing airports, even combined with the occasional runway addition, helps only the short term. Until London seriously embraces an expanded 24-hour hub and reciprocal comprehensive land-side regeneration, there is just vanity and puffery.
