AUDEN PLACE NURSERY LONDON N W1 SQUARE FEET ARCHITECTS

Square Feet Architects were asked by this community nursery to investigate options to provide additional learning and playspace. We worked closely with the nursery, developing their ideas and addressing their needs, and also helped the nursery apply for and win a substantial grant from the local authority from their Quality and Access Fund. The nursery has operated from the building, constructed as the estate's community centre since 1976, offering a 'homely and welcoming' environment to 46 children aged between six months and five years, and is a registered charity. All of the children and parents are shareholders, contributing to the improvement and success of the quality of childcare provision and education.
