This thirties art deco inspired conversion in Beeston in Leeds is an excellent example of expert dovetailing of refurbishment and new build on one scheme to pioneer low carbon. And the fact that it is so aesthetically pleasing is another tick next to this particular project. The development contains 166 one-, two- and three-bedroom units and includes six office spaces, a deli, gym and convenience store. The project even has its own Facebook page with 565 members to date, which has been set up to encourage community interaction to maintain the building's life span and encourage evolution to come from the occupiers.
